Restrictions: The FreeWheel works on solid rigid-frame footrests that are a maximum of 4-3/4″ off the ground. If your footrest is “angled” (footrest higher in front than in the back) it must be angled no more than 12 degrees for the FreeWheel to clamp securely to your chair.

*For a child, pick the footplate distance that allows some room for growth.

If your chair has a flip-up footplate, you will need to convert the footplate to an angle-adjustable footplate.

TiLite Angle-Adjustable Footplates - Do you have a Tilite Rigid chair? Does it have an angle-adjustable footplate? You'll need a special part called the P102 clamp kit to switch out the clamp that's already on your wheelchair with the P102 so it will work with the Freewheel.

Custom Frames:

Standard wheelchair frames have a distance of 4.75″ from the top of the footrest to the floor. If your chair has a greater distance, please choose the correct measurements from the option dropdown above. If you are in between sizes, choose the smaller size.
Example:
If your measurement is 7″. Choose the 6.5″ option.
5.5" - If your footplate measures between 4.75" - 6.5", this custom size will work. 
6.5" - If your footplate measures between 5.5" - 7.5", this custom size frame will work. 
7.5" - If your footplate measures between 6.5" - 8.5", this custom size frame will work. 
8.5" - If your footplate measures between 7.5" - 9.5", this custom size frame will work. 

Custom frames are available in black color only.

Installation: The initial installation may take approximately 15 minutes, and after installation, the FreeWheel clamps on and off in seconds.

Footrest Height: If the height of your footrest is over 4-3/4″ you may require a custom frame FreeWheel. See additional information below.

Footrest Angle: If the angle of your footrest is more than 12% the FreeWheel may not work. Please contact us for more information.

Perch: Attach the included perch onto your crossbar behind your seat back and clamp your FreeWheel onto it when you need to stow it.
