• All lengths are in inches
• MagZip zippers are available in a variety of lengths.  If the exact length you require is not available, we recommend ordering a slightly longer length.  MagZip, as with most standard zippers, can be cut to length and a new Top Stop installed. Contact us with the form below to purchase a new Top Stop.
• Zipper length is typically measured from the very bottom of the zipper tape (the fabric holding the zipper) to the very top tooth, usually known as a Top Stop.
• Many MagZip styles may only be available in a single length.

MagZip replacement zippers are a complete replacement separating zipper, including slider, and can be installed similar to any standard zipper.  

We recommend a professional Tailor or Seamstress perform the installation. However, it is possible for a skilled sewer to perform the installation at home. There are many online tutorials including here, here, and here.

Years ago, Scott Peters, an inventor and engineer, had a conversation with his mother, Nancy, an occupational therapist. Nancy shared how her brother, Uncle Dave, struggled to zip up his jackets because of dexterity challenges. Scott, always looking for ways to solve problems, wondered if there could be a better solution to something as fundamental as a zipper.

Scott and Nancy got to work and built their first prototype a zipper with magnets glued to the base. While the prototype didn’t work, it opened their eyes to the potential of using magnets to create a more accessible zipper. They realized the primary struggle was starting the zipper: aligning the base and securing it properly. But making magnets work to solve this issue would require both precision and innovation.

The duo partnered up with an experienced designer and friend David to bring MagZip to reality! The team worked through many iterations to design, prototype, build, test and then start over. Each attempt brought them closer to their goal, but progress was slow and painstaking. They faced challenges in aligning the magnetic base to ensure it connected seamlessly, maintaining the strength of the connection while keeping the zipper lightweight, and finding materials that balanced durability with functionality. Despite the challenges, the team’s belief in their vision never wavered.

After countless iterations, their hard work paid off, and the MagZip zipper was born. Its patented magnetic base made zipping up effortless, especially for people with limited dexterity.

If for some reason the ANKHGEAR product, MagZip zipper or MagZip accessory that you have purchased does not work for you, we are happy to provide you with a full refund if the item is returned within 30 days of purchase.

To be eligible for a return or exchange, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. To start a return, please contact us with the form below.

If your return or exchange is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return or exchange will not be accepted.
