With thin-to-medium thickness and a clean, stylish look, they’re ideal for everyday comfort and protection under AFOs. A gentle elastic cuff helps the socks stay in place under the brace without squeezing the leg, while the flexible knit fits comfortably under both full-length and ankle-height orthotic braces.

- Zero Internal Threads: Using advanced 360° Sublimation Printing, we fuse ink directly into the fibers. Unlike Jacquard socks, our interior is completely smooth and white, eliminating the messy "float threads" that tickle and irritate sensitive skin.
- Anatomical "No-Bunch" Fit: Our socks feature a Defined Heel Pocket. This physics-based design anchors the sock in place, preventing it from sliding down or bunching up under the brace -unlike tube socks, which often slip because they lack a heel structure and a secure top cuff.
- Minimal Flat Seams: We utilize minimal flat seams to create a high-quality, structured sock that maintains its hold. This design ensures durability and stability, while keeping the toe area smooth enough to prevent friction and irritation inside the brace.
- 90% Breathable Cotton: Synthetic fabrics trap heat and cause maceration. We use a premium 90% Cotton blend to maximize airflow and keep the skin dry, reducing the risk of contact dermatitis and heat rash inside the plastic shell.
- Hyper Flexible Stretch: With 10% high quality Spandex, our socks stretch up to 8x their size. This makes putting them on effortless for parents and ensures a wrinkle-free fit that moves with the child, not against them.

Our socks are designed with an Elastic Fit Range, meaning the cotton-rich knit and 10% spandex allow the sock to stretch comfortably across a wide range of foot lengths without feeling loose or tight.
This same elasticity also lets your child or you choose how high to pull the sock. Right above the brace or all the way to the knee, while still allowing the fabric to return to shape after wear.

We learned that comfort isn’t about fixing what’s hard, but softening it- finding gentleness in what once felt heavy.
That’s how Lairos began- a small act of care that helps every day begin with confidence.
About:
Our story began long before the brand itself. When our son was born, we noticed small signs that something in his movement was different. After years of tests and uncertainty, in April 2022 at the age of three, he was finally diagnosed with a rare genetic condition called HSP.
The diagnosis brought many new challenges, one of them being the need for AFO braces to help him walk. At first, we thought the hardest part would be helping him get used to them, making sure they were comfortable and didn’t hold him back.
But soon, an unexpected struggle appeared: finding the right socks. We needed socks that were soft enough to protect his skin, strong enough for everyday use, and fun enough to make him feel confident and proud.
What seemed like a small detail became the spark that started Lairos.
The Challenge
We searched everywhere. There were some knee-high socks for kids, but none truly worked with AFO braces. Most were either too thick or too plain, dull and far from the fun styles our son loved. Many were made from fabrics that trapped heat or left marks after just a few hours of wear.
And when we finally found socks with bright, playful designs, they were either not knee-high or made only in adult sizes. The heels sat halfway up our son’s calf, the seams rubbed against his skin, and the fit was completely off. We couldn’t find a single pair that was both fun and functional- colorful, comfortable, and truly made for children who wear braces.
The Turning Point
We realized we couldn’t find what we needed, so we decided to create it ourselves. What began as a challenge for our son eventually became a mission to design socks that change the way people, not just kids, experience braces and walking aids.
We explored many options until we found the right factory, the perfect fabric blend, and the stitching techniques that made all the difference. We tested every detail until we reached the balance we were searching for.
Above all, our goal was to create socks that combined comfort with style- without ever compromising one for the other. It wasn’t easy, but through persistence we discovered what we now see as the perfect mix: soft and gentle on sensitive skin, flexible enough for daily wear, playfully designed with our own unique prints for kids, and most importantly, with the true knee-high length that fits perfectly with AFO braces.
