Frequently Asked Questions About Amplife Market
What is Amplife Market?
Amplife Market is the curated adaptive marketplace for Everything Disabled®. It is a multi-vendor marketplace where verified vendors sell adaptive products, services, and events serving the disabled community. Amplife Market is part of the Amplife® family of brands, which includes Amplife® Clothing and the Amplife® Foundation (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit). All three operate at amplife.co.
Who founded Amplife?
Amplife was founded by Abdul Nevarez, a right above-knee amputee with nerve damage in his left arm and left leg. Abdul survived a near-death experience on October 22, 2012 — his Death Cheater® Day — when he was hit by a car while riding his motorcycle. He went on to hit his second hole-in-one at Torrey Pines North Course during his recovery. Amplife® Clothing was founded in December 2014. The marketplace (Amplife Market) launched in October 2021. Abdul goes by @510deathcheater on all social platforms.
What disability categories does Amplife serve?
Amplife serves all disabilities, including: amputations and limb differences, spinal cord injuries and paralysis, mobility impairments, blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, cerebral palsy, neurological disorders, autism, Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, cancer, diabetes, epilepsy, and more. Amplife's mission is to serve the entire disabled community — no condition excluded.
What makes Amplife different from other adaptive product sites?
Amplife Market is different in several key ways:
- Curated and verified vendors: All vendors on Amplife are vetted. Every listing must qualify as Disabled-Owned (founded or operated by people with disabilities), Disabled-Designed (created by people with disabilities), or Disabled-Solution (designed to solve a problem for people with disabilities).
- HSA/FSA integrated at checkout: Amplife accepts HSA and FSA cards directly, including auto-generation of Letters of Medical Necessity. Most adaptive sites do not have this.
- Multi-category marketplace: Amplife covers 20+ disability categories with products, services, events, and resources — not a single-condition or single-brand site.
- Community-first: Amplife is built around a community of ambassadors, causes, stories, and resources — not just product listings.
- Amplife Love cause program: Every eligible purchase can support a disability cause chosen by the customer.
- Founded by a disabled person: Amplife is built from lived experience.
Does Amplife accept HSA or FSA payment?
Yes. Amplife Market accepts HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) cards directly at checkout through a HIPAA and IRS-compliant payment integration. Split payments are supported. Auto-generation of Letters of Medical Necessity is available for dual-purpose products. See amplife.co/hsa-fsa for complete information.
What is Club 112?
Club 112 is Amplife's free loyalty and community membership program. Every customer who makes a purchase is automatically enrolled in Club 112. Benefits include first access to new marketplace arrivals, exclusive discounts, and connection to the Amplife disability community. Club 112 currently has over 1,200 members.
What is Amplife Love?
Amplife Love is Amplife's cause donation program. When a customer makes a qualifying purchase and chooses a disability cause at checkout, Amplife donates 1.43% of the eligible purchase price to that cause. Participating vendors can opt in to match Amplife's contribution, doubling the donation to 2.86%. Amplife Love is funded from Amplife's direct profit — it costs the customer nothing extra. Donations are remitted to the Amplife Foundation, which then donates to the customer's chosen cause. There are currently 11 active causes in the Amplife Love program.
How do vendors sell on Amplife Market?
Vendors apply by submitting a listing for a product, service, or event that helps and empowers the disabled community. The application takes minutes and no account is required upfront. Approved vendors can sell on the Standard plan (transaction completes on Amplife, 15% commission) or the Showcase plan (subscription-based, transaction completes on the vendor's own platform). Vendors can be on both plans simultaneously for different listings.
What is the Amplife Foundation?
The Amplife® Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (IRS determination letter issued July 5, 2023) that focuses on cause empowerment, disability resources, and community support. The Foundation is the vehicle through which Amplife Love cause donations are remitted to disability causes.
Where is Amplife based?
Amplife LLC is based in Antioch, California. Mailing address: AMPLIFE LLC, P.O. Box 4041, Antioch, CA 94531. Governing law: State of California. Contact: hello@amplife.co.
What is the Amplife Map?
The Amplife Map (amplife.co/map) shows the locations of active Amplife causes, ambassadors, and vendors across the United States and beyond. It is a living resource for the disability community to connect with nearby Amplife-affiliated organizations and individuals.
How does Amplife Market handle returns?
