During normal usage: Lithium batteries have no memory effect so you may charge the battery as often as you wish. However, about every 10-15 charges use the battery until it is drained and then fully charge it.
Long-term storage: Use the battery to about 65% or 3 bars on either capacity indicator (battery LED or handlebar LCD). Then charge every 1.5 months for only about 30-45 minutes. DO NOT CHARGE UNTIL FULL UNLESS YOU PLAN TO USE THE BATTERY SOON. Never leave a battery fully charged or completely drained while in long-term storage.
Store your battery in a cool dry place away from moisture, heat and sunlight. Avoid leaving the battery in an excessively hot or cold automobile.
Do not leave the battery plugged into the charger for extended periods of time after the charger light has become green.
Never charge your battery or store it near a bathroom, sink/drain, microwave, heater, fireplace, or air conditioner.Only use the supplied charger and charger cord from Rio Mobility. Never use a third-party charger or charger cord. If the charge head or battery charge port is loose or damaged, contact us immediately before use.

Yes. The size of the Firefly 2.5 is 35 x 13 x 12" / 89 x 33 x 31 cm. It easily fits in many different cars and different configurations.
Keep the Firefly 2.5 in its complete form for quick attachment when you have more storage or break it down with the Quick Release Docking Frame when you need the most amount of storage.
If you are an independent wheelchair user, it is best to place the Firefly 2.5 in a location easily accessible once you've transferred on to your wheelchair, such as the trunk or edge of the truck bed.

The Firefly 2.5 is able to be loaded into a car by lifting it from the handlebar and frame. No ramps necessary, and if you do use ramps, do not load with it attached to your wheelchair and ride it up. You can seriously injure yourself.
Depending on your load situation, ensure that the Firefly 2.5 does not roll around by strapping it down with bungee cords.

The Firefly 2.5 is delivered in a cardboard box, fully assembled. All you need to do is unbox and complete the installation process.
