Death Cheater® Day - Date of joining the disabled community
April 16th, 1999, I was in a car wreck that temporarily killed me. Was revived and had a lot of serious injuries.
October 3rd, 2011, I had an accident at work where a safe fell on my foot and ankle and crushed it. Ended up having my right lower leg amputated in 2011. Was unsure of what life would be looking forward. I had a few setbacks with an infection in my stump and had to go back in for surgery.
After getting fitted for a prosthetic I was able to go back to work and slow relearn the things I love. I became an amputee peer counselor to help other in their journey and help make it a positive experience.
3 years ago I discovered adaptive sports and started playing football, softball and basketball. Recently I started coaching our futures basketball program as well as our juniors softball team. Leading them to a national championship their first year as a team!
I want to help other amputees and people with disabilities kick life’s butt. I love my Amplife gear. My hat is a badge of honor, I wear it proudly.
I coach young athletes with all kids of different disabilities in basketball and softball. I also fundraise for the non profit that runs the sports programs I’m blessed to play in.
There are so many. Depends on what I’m doing. Tech N9ne, Lil Wayne, Slipknot and Korn are usually in my earbuds during warm ups. Whitney Houston's I will always love you hypes me for bench pressing lol
Winning the USAWFL championship (United States Wheelchair Football League) and coaching a great team of kids to a national championship.
Playing adaptive football, softball and basketball, working out and playing sports with my kids.
I love boy bands or any like early to mid 2000’s pop.
I love the clothes and hats. The fit, style and the badassery are awesome but mainly because of the support that the brand gives. I feel so loved by Amplife that I haven't gotten from other organizations.
