Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association's Mission:

It’s about so much more than sports. At GLASA, you are part of the team. Adaptive sports change the lives of our athletes on and off the court thanks to our coaches, volunteers and supporters.

About the Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association

Our programs fuel the life of an individual on the court and beyond. GLASA is a community where athletes thrive. Our resources, programs and services empower participants to reach their highest potential in all pursuits of life. Every aspect of our mission is to support our athletes. It is our greatest honor to stand in awe and admiration as they achieve their dreams and inspire the world.

A Lifelong Pursuit of Health and Wellness

GLASA believes that health is a lifelong pursuit and offers programs for individuals ages 3-75+. GLASA supports athletes with primary physical or visual disabilities, such as amputation, cerebral palsy, dwarfism, muscular dystrophy, spinal cord injury, spina bifida, stroke, visual impairment and more.

Adaptive Programming to Fit Every Need

Our programs are adapted to meet the needs of individuals who use manual or power wheelchairs in addition to those with ambulatory disabilities. We also offer specialized programming to injured military Veterans.

GLASA Great Lakes Games

GLASA brings hundreds of athletes together each year for our Great Lakes Games In Partnership With The Hartford, a multi-day event that provides a continuum of competition for the developmental to elite Paralympic athlete.

No One Sits on the Sidelines

No one is ever turned away due to an inability to pay, and no prior experience is needed to join GLASA recreational or competitive programs. With 20+ adaptive sports to get involved with, there is something for everyone.

The donations will support:

Empowering our athletes to be active and enjoy the physical, social and emotional benefits of adaptive sports, fulfilling our mission and making all the difference for our athletes.
